International Food Week

This week we have been learning about foods from all over the world. It has been so much fun! We have had a lovely week. We have learnt a lot of facts about different foods it has been very interesting. We had a food tasting activity, we prepared the foods then everyone tasted them.

The first activity was the airport. It was really exciting we went though check in, security and then into the gate, we then went onto the airplane were we sat down.  The air hostess came and give us some foods from Mexico which was where we were flying to.

We then went on the internet to find out what sorts of food come from where.  Next we were put into pairs and asked choose a country to find out about.

Class two made signs for their cafes.  They found out how to say café in the different languages for countries they were finding out about, they also made aprons and decorated them. Class two then decorated the hall and turned it into a café, they then took turns to talk to the rest of the school about their countries and different facts and recipes they found out.

Two ladies then came from Waitrose to do some food tasting; they give us some food and drink samples to try such as fruit smoothies and dried fruits, foods which most of the class had never tried before. They give us a book to fill in about what we thought of the foods.  We enjoyed filling them in, they had crosswords in the back.
